Programs

Alameda Family Collective gets its strength from its members. They are the driving force behind the organization and each family improves and enriches the organization through their involvement. Below are the programs AFC members and Board frequently plan. All members are encouraged to organize events, volunteer as a host, and explore new community outreach opportunities!

Need help thinking of a great event idea? Take a look at this list of past activities spearheaded or hosted by AFC members!

When you're ready to host a meetup, add it to the Events calendar through the QuickEvent tab and post it to the Facebook page!

Playdates

Get to know other local families by hosting a playdate. Post the time and place on the AFC calendar and enjoy a fun time together at a public place or your home.

Help your child to develop socially while you connect with other parents by hosting or participating in weekly playdates.

Parent's Night Out

Organize a kid-free evening or weekend activity in your home or a local venue for parents to share some time together in community, away from the kiddos.

These social events provide an opportunity for parents to get some much needed R&R, connect with friends, and explore the activities that Alameda has to offer.

Education Series

Board Members coordinate occasional educational events for the community. Join us for these special opportunities to learn or contact the Board if you have ideas for future topics.

Our education series lectures are always open to the public and are usually free of charge!

Early Childhood Development Activities

Were you a preschool teacher in another life? Plan a group event with activities that engage kids in a way that aids development.
Sensory playdates focus on tactile and creative exploration. Educational playdates serve as a first step toward structured learning and feature fun lessons organized by caretakers.
